A new approach to floral photos

I was going away last October for a couple of weeks, just as my yukka formentosa was coming into flower. The flower stems are about three feet long and consist of dozens of creamy white bell shaped florets which hang downwards around a main stem. The florets open slowly turning towards the sun throughout the daylight hours, making for a twisted final stem. I quickly picked the stem and, breaking pieces off I placed them into bags of water and froze them. I now realise I should have used boiled water to retain the clarity - ah well its a learning process......
