Realising today's date, I went looking for any red or pink flowers in bloom. My beautiful ,almost black, deep red rose came up trumps again. This rose seems to bloom about 10 months out of 12 and has a glorious scent to boot. There it stood with about 6 small buds way up in the air about 6-7 foot tall. I couldn't bear to pick them all but decided to just bring one in to photograph along with a short strip of LED 'Roses' at the base. For the second shot I used an off camera flash with coloured gel to give a different look to the same arrangement.
