Stunning plants

by Charles Stirton April. 19, 2007 3958 views

These photographs celebrate something of the diversity of plant life. There is an infinite variety of colour, pattern, and texture which I will be exploring in my Plant Portrait series.

Much of the world's flora is now under threat primarily from invasive species (beautiful but dangerous), and from loss or fragmentation of their habitat, mostly induced by our activities. When looking at the photographs think about where the plants might have originated. Some were taken in gardens, others in the wild.
