Winter at the Botanický ústav Akademie věd České Republiky [ibot.cas.cz] and the English page [ibot.cas.cz] here.

The weather has been too sunny for a while now and as I have not seen or experienced snow for a few years I trawled through my old pictures to look for the white stuff.

Here are some scenes from the Botanical Academy at the Pruhonice Park & Botanical Garden east of Prague. Well worth a visit.

1. Botanical laboratories and offices

2. Chapel and library on site.

3. Lake in front of the Chateau.

4. Iced up lake.

5. part of the Chateau external decorations

6. Lion vane.

7. Detail on a door.

8. Love - Scraffiti.

9. Door detail.

10. Front of Chateau Building

11. Public Car Park in front of park entrance; looking towards the village.

12. Heavy snowfall.

13. Exhibition of Christmas decorations, December 2005

14. Three wise women.

15. Bethlehem scene made form Pernik biscuit.

16. Jesus, Mary & Joseph.
