The Mšeno-Kokořín region. Part 1.

Today I begin a three part series of the Česká Lípa, Mšeno-Kokořín, Mlada Boleslav and Jicin regions in Northern Bohemia that I explored during my recent holiday. I begin with Mšeno, tomorrow Sobotka, then Jicin, finally a small glass-blowing village further north near Česká Lípa, called Častolovice.

The town Mšeno [] (330-360 m above sea level) stands guard over the Natural Preserve Kokořínsko (CHKO Kokořínsko), lying on its eastern border, on the boundary of the Mělník, Mladá Boleslav and Česká Lípa Counties. The Kokořín region is a wooded landscape, abundant in rock formations, glens and romantic corners that make up an attractive landscape and pristine environment. There is a large network of tourist trails and cycle tracks that provide a fascinating view of traditional architecture, chateaus, and fortified castles.

Again an interesting set. For me a good tip, because I have never been there in my life. But it looks like a nice region, so I`ll plan a trip there someday for sure.
