About The Spirit Of Things
I am a writer and botanist interested in life's journey, history, cultures, plants and futures thinking.
Photography is one of my passions. My approach is to seek the unusual angle and topic, shift its context, and try to reflect its soul and spirit. Most of my photos have been shot in Africa, Europe and Korea.
I like the challenge of only publishing raw images but also very much enjoy the creative efforts of photo-editors. I used to use the defunct Picasa 3 to do some tweaking edits on some of my photographs and now occasioanlly use Faststone.
In the past I used an Exilim 770 and a Nikon D-40 with a 18-135 mm lens for my early blogs but have now shifted to Nikon D60 with a 55-200 mm lens.
