Assateague Island

One of the joys of going to Chincoteague every year is going to the beach on Assateague Island. Assateague is accessible by a five minute drive from Chincoteague. It's a protected wildlife area so there is blissfully nothing on the island but beach and wildlife. At the southern end of Assateague, the island is small enough that you can see both the ocean and a cove from the same spot. All of these are taken in a place called Toms Cove.

I prefer # 3... the red of the sealavender (?) and the old wood in the water give the photo points of interest.
