Getting Started: Dublin Zoo (Part 1)

1st Attempt/Session with dSLR.

PROJECT:
Take a newbie (me) that has no idea how to take photographs. Next, grab an entry level Nikon d3100 with 18-55VR stock lens and set both to full manual. Then, try to take photographs and have the end result resemble what was in my mind when I clicked the button.

Yummy, yummy, yummy…

All along the Watchtower…

Waterfall…

f8 and be there…

Veiled Chameleon…

I'm impressed already! Wonderful shots of zoo animals and the waterfalls are lovely.

Thanks for the welcome and kind words guys. Just curious to see how much I can get out of a starter lens, keep it full manual and see what I can come up with. Enjoying the "limitation" of not upgrading the lens.

Was difficult to get clean shots though; were taken through viewing windows and covered in hand prints and what not.

These would be my first attempt at taking a few pics with a digital SLR.
