More (for camera buffs):
One new thing I learnt that this camera can do, which I find fascinating but a little annoying too,- although i can see its potential - is that it chooses for me when to go into continuous mode and when to shoot a single shot. An old film camera could never do anything that tricky.
To decide whether to shoot one or six shots, the sensor detects movement in the subject. When that happens, the camera refocuses between each shot and keeps firing.
I think it also detects the fact that I move and reacts the same way.
Hence you end up with a better chance of a sharper shot.
But you also end up burning through your memory so I think the idea is to figure out which one is sharpest and best and delete the rest as soon as possible. I'm not sure that is going to be very practical for me. Time will tell I guess.
There are other ways to control whether there is continuous shooting or one shot but I won't go into that as they are fairly standard methods.
