1 July - miscellaneous campsite with a boab... Part A

by Andrea July. 11, 2011 3002 views

Date 1 July 2011 Friday

Destination: Creek to Adcock Gorge
Distance: about 20 km - 15km to the turnoff, then 5km to the gorge, road very rough at the end. Some vehicles walked in the last km rather than drive cause of the great gouges in the road.

9.0am Breakfast
Porridge w sultanas, 3 prunes, 3 apricots, skim milk, having run out of full cream milk

I discovered that if I hang my camera from a tree for a self-timer shot, I can support the lens in the strap to hold it up and this works well.

One of the side effects of self-timed shots is an oblique angle. Read my diary to see why.

At this campsite the creek where i wash and collect water is behind me where that thicket of trees is to be seen. You can see a clearing leading to a bluish thing. That's where i walk to the water.

Brekky. Porridge with dried fruit.
