Barmouth is one of those seaside resorts that just gets under your skin and you find yourself returning year after year. Barmouth sits at one end of the Mawddach trail which is a great place for walking and cycling
The towns major attraction is the railway bridge. Barmouth Bridge was designed by and constructed for the Aberystwyth and Welsh Coast Railway on its line between Aberystwyth and Pwllheli. Work was authorised in 1861 and commenced in 1864. On 10 October 1867, the completed bridge was officially opened.
