Scarborough is one of the gems on the Yorkshire Coast offering something for all. There is a north bay that offers a quieter traditional holiday with the castle and the old town.
There is still a small harbour with a number of boats working out of it.
The power of the waves can never be underestimated a couple of people got very wet while I took these by standing far to close
The castle is well worth a visit and offers some great views on a good day
The Old Town has a lot of history and is an interesting place to wonder around
The lighthouse at Scarborough was destroyed by German action on the 16th December 1914 and was rebuilt in 1931 by public subscription
