Last Sunday we went to Myrafälle in Muggendorf, near Vienna. It was a nice trip for a lovely weekend. The sun was shining, and I even began to feel its burning feeling around 14-15h.
The whole process was like a bit exploration and as long as you have some light shoes(not necessarily sportshoes), you can make it till the end of the journey. It was very well constructed, with bridges and steps from time to time. The falling water was quite loud and the sight of them were fairly refreshing and nice. Along the way there were many small forests, greeneries, small flowers to enjoy. It was always a pleasure to end the hiking with a nice restaurant.
one of the pictures taken of the falls.
here you see the roots of the trees. actually many paths were filled with such roots, making the journey not so dangerous if you are careful enough.
or they would be filled with stones. with still fall leaves on the ground. and sometimes you see a path leading to another direction downward like in this picture.
some of the small forests there.
at the end of the trip we came to this smooth, quiet originating river which reflects its surroundings at this sunny day. very beautiful view!
some of the foliage of such shaped leaves along the way. i have to say they have quite nice forms!
one of the little cute flowers along the way.
another pics of the waterfalls there.
It was a pleasant journey! If you are in Vienna one day in spring or summer, make sure you also have a small trip to this Myrafälle. It would be a lovely trip.
