Walk The Mile.

Queen - The Miracle [youtube.com]

Although I like the angle and some other aesthetic aspects of this shot, I am not happy with how it came out ‘technically’ speaking. I don't want to get into a long-winded rant on why I love RAW so much , but as bad as the noise and distortion is/was originally on this shot - it would have been a lot worse if I shot it JPG. I really wish I had ‘Noise Ninja.’ Although my ‘photo stuff’ budget for this quarter has already been exhausted.

Anyway, this is the ‘world famous’ Miracle Mile in the heart of Coral Gables, Florida. There are a lot of nice restaurants and shopping in and around this street, but as many of you know, I am a lot more interested in the signage. Cheers.

Mike , the capture is perfect in my own opinion...looking at the technical aspect i see you use a high ISO then the glare should be expected...anyway the shallow DOF the colors , tone and the glare make the image subtle and serene with a lots of aesthetic flow and it mystify the signage ...and doing it on RAW you have lots of room if you do some editing...TFS Mike...
Best regards ,

Personally, I think this is a cool shot. Sometimes a bit of noise would add to the story in a photo. It's perfectly fine for street photography, Mike.

Neat shot - love the dazzle for the light. I find noise in photos quite an odd thing. When I see other peoples I think it looks cool like some sort of special effect to emphasise the darkness. Whe I see it in my own I just think yuk. I've ne ver thought of getting special software for it though.

Screw Noise ninja! atleast for this shot.. I think the noise and the angle is what makes this image come to life!

It is cool, did you try to play a bit with WB. If you get the sky black you reduce the noise too
