Glimmer Of Hope.

Peter Gabriel - Mercy Street [youtube.com]

Those of you who are really perceptive may have noticed the little ‘Genesis’ tribute in the past two sets As for the shot, I was walking to my front door the other day and saw this little guy poking out of the rocks/sand/soil as you can see. It's probably just a weed, but I like the idea that he was/is able to make his way to the world for some air. Yes, I know weeds are usually pretty much a nuisance and we spend millions of dollars a year on products to kill them, but hey, can't we all just get along? Cheers.

You are right. The irony is the reason we don't like weeds is because they are too successful. they don't know their place like the other plants they aren't subserviant to us. Instead they grow where they want. Some people just don't like that.

Mike that is a very good point of view , aside from the excellent overhead shot you made and the rules of thirds you follow , the post is a point to think for us to remember that if we see those grass still grows on our backyards that means we still have enough time to spare the world of global warming..are we going to wait for a severe climate change before we really make some remedies? if we destroy nature to build new houses we call that development , if we destroy a building we call it vandalism , i really don't get that!
thank you so much for sharing...
Best regards ,
rob

I totally agree! I think we spend way too much time and money trying to get rid of nature. Everything in our yard now grows wild and free....I like it that way, especially compared to Kansas where our lawn was sprayed with horrible chemicals every month...
Great shot and great thought, Mike!

OK, totally obtuse, but as chairman emeritus of the weed liberation army (to judge from my back yard), I wholly applaud the sentiment.
