Mickey Mouse Club - Alma Mater [youtube.com]

No no no, not the boy band, but rather the city in central Florida.

So I didn't get to see the big eared mouse, or the goofy one, or the duck, or any of those characters up close to take a photo, however we did have a great time. The weather was really cool and made for a nice day to walk around the parks. Oh yeah, those ‘countries’ photos are just a small representation of the ‘World Showcase’ EPCOT Center has to offer. We went around to each country briefly and said photos are of the best captures from yours truly.

So ends another year of work, play and all that jazz and as good or bad as 2010 was, there is always a brighter light in 2011. Happy New Year to all and to all a good night! P.S. This is my 237th post - kudos to you if you know why that is interesting to me. Cheers.

01. I don't want to start an argument, but south of Chi-Town proper, I don't know of a better replica of real pizza than ‘Uno’. So good.
Nikon D70s | f/4.2 | 1/5" | ISO 1600 | 34mm

02. You can almost hear the screaming kids when you pass under this facade. No one in our car did this.
Nikon D70s | f/3.5 | 1/13" | ISO 1600 | 18mm

03. Yep, this is sunny central Florida, folks. It was in the mid 50s when I shot this.
Nikon D70s | f/3.5 | 1/8" | ISO 1600 | 18mm

04. Like I said in the previous photo - it was ‘kinda’ cold on this day Thank the Mouse for heated pools.
Nikon D70s | f/3.5 | 1/3" | ISO 1600 | 18mm

05. Even the arrival of the monorail is an event at DW. They really go crazy with maintaining the foliage too.
Nikon D70s | f/3.5 | 1/15" | ISO 1600 | 18mm

06. No I did not go to Italy - this is a huge mock from one of the EPCOT's ‘Countries.’
Nikon D70s | f/9 | 1/320" | ISO 200 | 18mm

07. No I did not go to China - this is a huge mock from one of the EPCOT's ‘Countries.’
Nikon D70s | f/7.1 | 1/160" | ISO 200 | 70mm

08. No I did not go to Mexico - this is a huge mock from one of the EPCOT's ‘Countries.’
Nikon D70s | f/10 | 1/400" | ISO 200 | 18mm

09. Motion in progress. I tried to really get some motion with this one, but the trains slowed so much by the time it got to us.
Nikon D70s | f/11 | 1/400" | ISO 400 | 38mm

10. Fireworks are a real pain in the ass to shoot. Enough said. [See the castle mixing in with the smoke and background?
Nikon D70s | f/3.5 | 1/50" | ISO 1600 | 18mm

OK, Mike this set is simply awesome and I'm really jealous!! Here I am splashing around in an icy stream an you're shooting these? Yeah, no fair. I love every bit of every single one of these shots, but have two specific comments. #4 - first time I've seen a lifeguard on the stand all bundled up (well, I don't get out much ;)...#10 - fantastic!!!!!!
