Monks' Well
Inscribed with the latin motto “Qui non dat quod Habet, Doeman Infra ridet”, which means “He who hath and won't bestow the devil will reckon with below.”

The exact age of this well is not known but in 1834 the local authorities installed an iron pump to lift the water, but after the arrival of piped water in the 1850's it fell into disuse.

It was presented to Liverpool Corporation in the 1930's and became one of the City's first listed buildings in 1952.
