'Praise The Bridge That Carried You Over'

This bridge was made by cutting in half a wheel that was once used in a colliery.

My father was a coalminer and this exact wheel would have been used years ago to wind a cage, which carried him and his work colleagues, up the pit shaft from the coal face.
