111. The boating experience...

by Soubhagya Sagar Behera February. 04, 2010 3238 views

It was another day at the river Brahmaputra. This time at Hallidayganj, on a speedboat.
Fantastic experience, enjoying the massive calm of the huge river as it flows in to form the world's largest delta.
Collection of a few wooden boats…
I have had the privilege to ride in such boats. It is scary, very scary, and u have tp sit balancing ur weight, and slight movement rocks the boat.., but it is the thrill of the ride in that massive water body (this was a river, but I have done it in the ocean too) that u will never forget. If u havent, and if u have tried but every drop of ur sanity says u should not, screw that and do it! Boating is fun.
(PS: I am a very poor swimmer)

“A wide perspective…”
What I liked about this shot was the sky and the arrangement of the boats, both fanning out.

“The young rider…”
One thing which I noticed about this kid.., he has the same shirt which I had as a kid. His was blue, mine was white.
The boy must not be more than 15, but he looks a worth lot more.

“Vastness”
I took this shot when I was riding on the speedboat.

“Anchored…”
No way I would have shown this in colour. This was made for mono only.

“Boat-er cycle”
I am sure I will get many chuckles out from this picture…

We love that the boats and the sky are in the same formation in the first shot, that was a great observation. The rest of your set is also lovely.
