I saw this little kid begging on the road which leads up to the Mall (the main shopping area of Shimla).
He was dressed as Hanuman, the monkey god from the Hindu epic ‘'Ramayana’'.
As in a lot of things about India, sad and funny, at the same time.

He's very cute.
I find it sad that a parent or guardian would have to have helped him put that outfit together. Can you imagine what it must be like to do that for your child and know they were going out to beg?
