Trout Ladder - Port Hope

The trout are migrating from Lake Ontario up the Ganaraska River to spawn. At the dam, they have to leap up a series of steps to get to the river above. They will swim upstream to lay their eggs.

      Those are awesome, I often look at the dams and wonder if you can ever actually see the fish jumping up them...I guess you can ;-)

      Is it sporting to use a net and catch them on the fly? Great captures Dave! I'm referring to the photos of course.....hahaha
