Macro Experiments

These are some of my first experimental macro shots with my 50mm f2.0 Zuiko lens my wife gave me as a retirement gift. My camera doesn't have special settings such as macro so this is all new to me.

All but the canoe are ornaments on our Activity Tree in their normal life. The tree is like a Christmas tree but displays ornaments which represents activities we are involved with.

Chair (6 1/2 cm high)
Canoe (24 cm long)

Wizard (3 cm from bottom of beard to peak of hat)

White Shamrock Bud (2 cm)

Pink Shamrock Bud (1 cm)

Quarter (2.5 cm diameter)

Soon you'll master it. You're almost there with these beautiful shots.
Btw, your pension is it optional?

Have fun with your new retirement gift Dave. Looks like you are well on your way to macro mania! I especially like the coin shot. I find coins the most challenging for me.I sure do like your collection of mini ornaments.
