Even though the ER doc orders were to rest for two days, today was my day to work from home, which isn't too strenuous, so I went ahead and did so. I stood multiple times during the day without feeling faint at all, so I think they were probably right about the dehydration.
Today I tried to get back towards the low carb but am also allowing for a slightly higher carb intake while still recovering, along with plenty of fluids (water).
I started with a Protein Shake, mostly so I wouldn't be taking my vitamins and meds on an empty stomach.
At lunchtime, my brother got up and I puppy-dog eyed him into going and getting some food, the closest being Chicken Express. While I pulled the skin off my chicken and had green beans as a side, I did try a couple of his corn nuggets (an incredible 9 carbs for only two little bitty things) and did eat two of the yeast rolls.
After work I had a couple of the Pecan Pie Squares and took another nap.
After the nap I had a tray of the Thanksgiving leftovers and finished it off with a chocolate bar I'd had laying around for quite a while.
I'm gradually working my way back to low carb, while keeping my fluids up, so tomorrow is another day.
