photoblog365 - Hidden

For today's challenge, I wandered around my back yard looking for hidden things. I did find three that seemed worthy of a photo and a story . . .

Not a whole lot of homes in suburbia have a bale of hay hidden alongside the house. But if our Mounted Search & Rescue unit gets a "drop everything and come now" call out, we need to be able to grab some food for our horses - and fast!

We use this fellow to ward off any unwanted creatures in our yard.

In reality, he used to hold a brush that served to wipe off your feet as you left the garden.

My dog loves to rip off the small drips on our sprinkler system and leave them on the patio as a prize for me. I finally told my gardener to bury the system. That didn't stop the dog at all, but now I have to run the system and look for a puddle each time he does it. Not my smartest move.

You did find tons of hidden stuff around your house, but I believe the bale of hay is the best ;)

Thanks.  One year, our neighbor was shooting off fireworks on the 4th of July (a regular happening on that U.S.  holiday) on the other side of the fence.  We weren't home, but I did find a lot of spent rocket bodies on the ground near the hay.  Sigh . . .
