Drama At The Old Bolivar Lighthouse

I usually don't take pictures of the Bolivar Lighthouse unless I get it in the background of one of my ship shots or unless there is something going on in the sky like a nice sunset. The reason why is because it's kind of overdone from all of the spots where people would think it would make for a nice picture. Today I was at the state park on the other side of the highway from the lighthouse and took this shot from over the top of a small hill. I was able to keep all of the street lights, houses, telephone poles and billboards out of the shot....I just ducked down until it all disappeared. I'm going to try it again tomorrow using a slow shutter speed. Hopefully there will be some good drama in the sky so I can streak the clouds which I think would make for an interesting picture.

I looked it up on the internet. You did a great job of finding a place that removed all of the distractions.
