Goodbye September

Maritime photography has become my favorite genre to shoot so I'm happy that I am able to end September with another interesting ship that was anchored today at the Bolivar Roads Anchorage between Galveston and Port Bolivar Texas. The Caribe Cristina is an Liberian flagged Oil/Chemical tanker with a gross tonnage of 7687 and a recorded top speed of 14.5 knots.

Hopefully October will bring cooler temperatures and while I will continue to photograph ships and boats during my ferry boat ride to and from work I'll also be photographing the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in Houston TX on Oct 6th so be ready for some vintage motorcycle photos and portraits. The 100mm macro lens has not seen much use so I'll have to change that and with the weather cooling down I might do some camping so I might try my luck at a little bit of astrophotography and maybe some low light stuff. Just hope the mosquitoes don't carry me away.
