Bolivar Roads Anchorage/Channel

There were edited last week but I'm just now getting around to posting them. Figured I'd get them uploaded before I start working on editing photos from yesterdays Lone Star Rally which is an annual motorcycle rally held in Galveston Texas.

I have no particular interest in ships, but these pictures are very nice to look at.

For three years riding the ferry to and from work I had no interest in them either until one day I decide to start taking ship pictures and like you I saw that they were nice to look at.

Always love your ship pictures. #1 looks like a traffic jam.

Thank you.  Yes, it does look like a jam.  Shot that with my 300mm prime so it makes them look stacked up.  All of the ships were anchored in an area known as the Bolivar Roads Anchorage.  They're usually only there for a day or two because I think that is the limit.  Anything beyond that and they have to pay to anchor there and I think it's something like $1000.00 per day.
