This is Hoover, our short-term adopted dog. He ate EVERYTHING we put in front of him. After a very short time he learnt to recognize the sound of the motorcycle engine. When he heard us he would run as fast as he could to the door of our motel room to receive his portion of chow. He amazed us with his ability to consume HUGE amounts of food (for his size). There were times that he even he ate more than Steve! While staying in a motel north of Tbilisi, we enjoyed exploring mountainous Pshavi province of Eastern Sakartvelo- a very beautiful region of Georgia. One day we made a trip around Zhinvali Reservoir (on Aragvi River). Had a chat with some friendly guys running a rafting/tourism business (Aragvi Adventure Center) on the Aragvi River. They showed us their sport bike. On the same day, while visiting a village called Chargali, we were greeted by this big dog. Looked a little scary to me, but soon he turned out to be a very friendly guy. Behind Steve is a head monument of the most famous man of Chargali- a writer and poet named Vazha-Pshavela. We also visited the museum, situated behind the monument, that is commemorating him. Portrait of Vazha-Pshavela, wearing a traditional Georgian sheep-fur hat. Steve likes his new hair-style. Picnic time! Puri (Georgian bread), sausage, white farmer's style cheese, tomatoe and onion. Simple and GOOD! Pshavi province offered many views like this one. Spectacular mountains and waterfalls.
