While visiting Romania we wanted to ride two famous mountain passes - Transalpina, the highest road in Romania (2145 meters above sea level) and Transfagarasan (2034 meters above sea level, which makes it the second highest road in Romania). Both of them offered spectacular views.
Happy to reach the top of the mountain pass.
Scenic Railway covered with "Coca-cola" advertisement.
We had one quite dangerous situation. While we parked the motorcycle on the shoulder of the road to take a photo, Steve walked away and turned his head away from the bike to look for something while still wearing his helmet, when I noticed that our motorcycle started slowly rolling backwards down the hill. While trying to stop it from rolling down the mountain I screamed for help "Steve! Steve!". Unfortunately he couldn't here me for quite some time (seemed like hours for me). Luckily he turned towards me at the last moment and saw what was happening. We saved the motorcycle.
At the end of the pass we met members of Polish motorcycle club from Sochaczew "Boruta".
We stayed at a lovely guesthouse in Brezoi-Valcea. We were happy to get an access to the kitchen. The owners welcomed us really warmly.
House occupied by the owners of the guesthouse. They had a vegetable garden and raised their own chickens and ducks.
Thanks to this sign we were able to recognize that this was a real guesthouse. It's name is "Conacul Vultureasa" in Brezoi, Romania.
