The Blue Ridge Parkway - October 2014

After the Overland Expo we decided to take our time coming back home and see "what's there to see". The Blue Ridge Parkway which meanders for almost 500 miles across North Carolina and Virginia was the first of our points of interest. The views were spectacular. We didn't have enough time for driving the whole scenic route, but we saw a big chunk of it and would love to go back to see the rest.

Camping with our Toyota pick-up in the National Forest.

One of the highest view points along the Blue Ridge Parkway happen to be located at the "Rough Butt Bald".

Happy Steve with a beautiful sky and amazing view behind him.

We saw an incredible full moon over the Appalachians. The photo doesn't come close to what we really saw...

Camping along the way.

Yosemite Sam

Just a little taller...
