Van Life on the East Coast of the U.S.A.

Our trip to Virginia began about a week before Thanksgiving. We stopped in St. Marys, Georgia for a night, then Georgetown, South Carolina for three nights. We stayed at Francis Marion National Forest where we camped right on the Intracoastal Waterway. We arrived in Croatan National Forest near New Bern, North Carolina a couple of days before Thanksgiving and decided to stay there until the holidays. As always, we bought a whole turkey (actually two frozen ones, which had time to thaw out) and we grilled one of them on the grill provided with the camp spot. The weather was perfect for building a bonfire and enjoying cooking and dining outdoors.

On a visit to New Bern we found out that Pepsi-Cola was created right here, in one of the pharmacies.

While driving along some little country roads in rural Virginia we came across this sign. You can imagine a Polish person's surprise when he or she sees it! "Dupa" means "ass" in the Polish language. LOL!!!

We got to the Chesapeake Bay and fell in love with the area right away! This is a sailor's paradise.

This kind of view is common on the Chesapeake Bay.

The great outdoors is right outside our van's window.

The Chesapeake Bay was even more beautiful than we expected.

Pandemia jeszcze bardziej wzmocniła w nas postanowienie by cieszyć się każdym dniem i nawet najdrobniejszymi rzeczami...

#3 What a wonderful life you have! Surrounded by the beauty of nature. When I look at your pictures, I would love to take the plane and hop over the Atlantic to enjoy this feeling of freedom in the US.
