daily walk to the bus

to get to work, i have to walk this way every morning.

it's amazing how much there is to see in a small side street of my city on a 5 minute walk stretch - all these signs, advertisements, actions, structures, the full monty.

switzerland is a jungle.

and i am just an ape.

the street i have to walk down

a record shop, specialized on hip hop music

what are these markings on the ground for?

a strip tease bar (has been here for decades) advertising "mephisto's beautiful daughters"

foot massage points, explained in the window

a police man teaching kids how to behave when crossing the street

this shop is pretty new… they deal with hair removement

same shop… probably the ugliest shop window dummies i've ever seen

"my wife is an alcoholic. let's talk about it." - "freedom for mahmet egtok!"

"swiss yoga, lesson 3. milk makes strong bones."

the bus going into the opposite direction comes first. it's on electric power grid.

here is my bus. goodbye, leisure time. hello work.

I love to see the day to day. All over the world, women worry about stray hairs. But now it is the fashion for men to have hairless backs and even chests, so there is even more money to be spent on pretending not to be a kind of monkey.

@blur911: LOL! no, i purposely take public transport to work and am glad i don't have to take the car... that's one of the advantages of living in zurich; the transport here is excellent (bus 90% on time, connection all 10 minutes, takes only a 25 minutes ride...)

So you got a new car and you still have to walk to work? Drag.
Oh well, interesting walk, gives a real sense of the city.

The marks near the bikes are obviously there to show Dr Who where to park his Tardis... tidily. This could be a great project for photobloggers... showing our walk/ride to work. I'll try this next week. I was under the impression that Switzerland was really neat and tidy. Here we have graffiti, strange shop windows, and... well not what I had imagined!
