it's not that intellectual. it's just a running joke, actually - the picture shows nothing but a gradient from two colours (actually an accident happened when i took a shot while blocking the lense with my fingers).

this is what "freedom of choice" means to me. it's nothing. if anything, it's a gradual thing, a more or less, not an either - or. you can choose between dark and... less dark. there is no black and white.

i tried to contrast this with the wonderful quote of john f. kennedy which started the space age and lead, in the end, to people walking on the moon. so THAT was, to my opinion, the last real step towards freedom for all humankind. but look how stupid we are: we've chosen to go to the moon... once. and now, we're stuck here again.

freedom of choice. but we so often choose the wrong thing.
