museum of antropology, zürich; some when last july: exceptionally opened until 2am in the morning, the museum offered tours and it's exhibition of fossils as well as reconstructions of old bones for a general public, while students and scientists could be engaged in questions, discussions, demonstrations of their work, trying to determine the age, provenance, characteristics of these findings.
why is this significant?
because it is a chance to understand that nobody ever is alone, no matter how much we might feel desperate, excluded, passed by or ignored - we are part of this overall community consisting of laymen and experts, scientists and pupils, apprentices and authorities; it is up to ourselves to play a role, to commit, to engage and to contribute to this ant hill of selves.
