it's the best view i can get.
i've always wanted to see the whole galaxy, from far, from near, from everywhere. it is the place i believe we should explore, no matter how much it takes to get over our petty little wars and stupid competitive squabbles that humanity is occupying itself with. we should develop the necessary technologies to get not only out of earth's gravity well, we should find ways to grasp and overcome the vast distances involved with space, we should aim for each and every single one of the stars above our heads; we should simply never stop to explore the universe, physically, with our minds, with our hearts and, if there would be something like that, our souls.
but all we do is stare at it, the pretty glistering monster above our heads. all we do is put up priority lists and think local and invite the neighbours for dinner and look down on the neighbour countrie's emigrants and kill all other species that stand in our way and fuck around with nature as much as our entirely artificial cultures, all we do is do the same stupid mule circles all over and over and over again, never learning anything, never advancing anywhere, never do anything that would have any value on galactic scale.
the best is the view i can get.
