Exhibition vs Exhibitionism

by Sigrid Strohschneider-Laue October. 30, 2017 1017 views

Exhibition design should be present a correct historic setting. It should be informative as well as it should be entertaining and inspiring. But sometimes, - just now and then – it gets out of hand and the designer is somehow following a very different path of entertainment.

I'm sure this specific presentation was the idea of a male colleague. Maybe he wasn't thinking one bad thought – but maybe he wasn't thinking a single thought at all and was running only on basic instincts? WHAT WAS HE THINKING?!? These are amphora! They have to stand upright and not to be stored as some sort of a "Hefner Memorial – Editor of magazine 'articles' of high value"!

It's not what it seems to be! These are amphora!

I had a good chuckle at this...  hmm...  Maybe it's his thoughts that got the better of him.   Interesting photo though.   smile

It is a dark room beneath the arena and I couldn't see it, but I'm sure some people got red cheeks.
