Teatro Romano di Trieste
Once upon a time at the end of the 1st century there was roman, who was well acquainted to Emperor Titus and Emperor Trajan. His name was Quintus Petronius Modestus and he wasn’t modest at all. He was mighty and rich enough to built a theater for his entertainment. That 6.000 visitors fit into the theater as well, wasn’t bad at all, because they had to pay an entrance fee. It was a lovely place - just right at the seafront – to watch gladiators die or to be bored to death by attending an Greek tragedy. Today the theater is far from the seafront and in the center of Trieste.
