It seemed to be the silver day. As I'm not doing a 365 project, so I don't throw a real silver piece on the "photoblog table", where already nice pictures of nice objects glitter.
This brooch is – again – something I brought home from a flea market. It is all fake – no silver and no gemstone - the only real thing: it looks nice. At least it's an old piece. It's called – and it is not an embarrassing word or plain insult - "Dienstbotenschmuck", which means it was a affordable "jewellery for servants" or costume jewellery. It's a cheaper version of a real jewellery made for the rich upper class. Such pieces closed the blouse high up in front of the throat as I have seen many times on old photographs.
I'm not sure, but it could be around 100 years old.
