The servants of hell settled down in a wayside shrine. No words needed - I was very quiet, when I stumbled backwards. Lucky me, I left unnoticed and unharmed. Maybe an exorcism will be necessary.
I still can't tell, which Saint is tortured inside. All Saints are victims of torture, therefore they are used to it. Nevertheless I hope it's Saint Florian. He is at least capable to fight with fire and water against them.

#1 is awesome! I have one of those nests sitting in the corner of one of my windows on the outside. Today, I did the dreaded chore of washing the window. All the time keeping my eye on the nest and there was a wasp just standing around the nest looking at me, which after looking at your photo, makes me wonder if that nest also has babies in it and this particular wasp was keeping watch. Last time I washed windows I did not pay attention to the nest surrounding the window and got stung badly, this time I was careful.
Thanks - I was very brave. Actually I'm really afraid, because some of my ancestors were high grade allergic and I don't know if I'm too. I don't want to find out first hand ...
