Living like God in France?

by Sigrid Strohschneider-Laue October. 28, 2018 1180 views

God may keep France, we will be very happy to get Italy! I'm sure, God is sad, because he has to stay in France. He his not only sad, but was bursting into tears, therefore it's raining cats and dogs in Emilia-Romagna. None of the cats, but at least one very large dog must have falling down from heaven right onto the stairs. His name is Brutus and he likes to be petted. Right now, we are very happy to spend some relaxing time at Antico Borgo di Tabiano Castello – Relais de Charme.

Right at our doorstep are Fidenza, Parma, Mantua, Modena, Piacenza, Cremona and lot of castles like Canossa. I'm glad, we don't have to crawl on our knees to Canossa to ask the Pope for forgiveness. Sometimes it's good not to be a King like King Heinrich IV.

Beyond beautiful. I love old buildings like this and with views like that I would be hard pressed to want to leave a location like that.

It's stunning beautiful. Sadly the weater is right now so dark, rainy, stormy and dangerous, that we are sitting inside (!) of thunderstorm clouds and can't see anything at all.

We will join the Halloween tour with drinks and food in the evening! I hope for good possibility to take pictures. Right now I only fear the heavy rain, dangerous storm and the Italian car drivers.

It is! Therefore it's a little piece of home in the middle of really bad and extremly dangerous weather.

Much better to visit these places in this season where everything is quiet. Love the pictures Sigrid

Nothing quiet anymore. Weather is really dangerous: thunderSTROMS, heavy rain like Judgementday, darkness all day long ...

I am 100% jealous of you right now. I thought going away to Florida was a nice get away but heck you my friend are living the life smile

It's rainig just now. We are sittinginside of #5 and there is no view at all! 😭
The cloud is like a fat cottonball and the lighting bolts are in the middle of it. 😱
I hope for better weather in Piazcenz. The rain is so heavy, that I don't want to take some pictures, because I don't want to ruin my cameras. BUT it's Italy after all, so everything else is fine. If you will have another trip to Italy I recommend this hotel. So beautiful ...

I am still jealous even with the rain. Do you have a raincoat for your camera? I ended up needing the raincoat for the camera when I was in Florida and it worked beautifully :)

OmG, I believe you!!! Sadly the weather is really bad. Yesterday evening, a lightening bolt hit a power station (or something similar) nearby. Six hours without electricity! Very romantic to have just one candle, if you don't have to find the bathroom ... *sigh*
