Italy ...

... where else?

Andisaw gained 10 kilos in a year, I will gain 10 kilos in a week! Actually we had 10 different sweets. We shared every single one of it and skipped lunch! I assure you, the quality of the food is way better than the quality of the pictures.

☕🥐🍰🍺🍕🍝🍷🧀🥓

The weather is so bad and in every way horrible, therefore I don't want ro - I although can't - take pictures at all.

⛈🌫🌬🌧☔🌊🌪

Please don't be shocked about the lousy "mobil quality" - I'm not used to take pictures with a thing I only use as a phone.

The shine on the chocolate and icing is +1. My #1 choice is the chocolate bon bon, but a very close 2nd is that cannoli. blush

BLASPHEMY!!!
SACRILEGE !!!

You skipped lunch??? For 10 MINI pastries???
In THE region of PASTA FRESCA (Handmade pasta), grilled meat, and gnocchi???

In Emilia Romagna they do everything at home... It's THE County of Prosciutto di Parma, ravioli and tagliatelle...
90 years old ladies get up at 5 to cook the regù (Bolonnaise sauce) for your homemade tagliatelle...
And you skip lunch???

PROMISE you'll NEVER EVER do it again... PROMISE !!!

BTW, trust me... there's always room for pastries. Keep the packet in the car... They will call you from the back seat sooner than you expect! smile

Yes... Emilia has 2 CONS only. They have heartquackes, and in Summer it's SO hot you cannot enjoy to be alive.
But places, castles, and FOOD? And don't forget people. They are extremely nice, and lovely. I called my butcher "Grandpa!" I loved living there (On the East part, Romagna, the Bologna side)
Enjoy the Paradise.

SCHLIMM!

I read in the news that Italy is under one of the biggest storms of the last years. Hope everything is fine with you and your husband.

I'm not easily frightened, but yesterday I was glad to survived driving the car back to the hotel (pitchblack, rain like driving through the river Po - even the Italians tried to drive like civilized human beings!). Last night was extreme, the storm and the rain hit the region hard. Yes we are glad it's over!

The cannoli looks good but the green thing looks a bit vicious!

Glad to see you had a nice consolation for the miserable weather!!!

Food & wine:, always the perfect antidote to the depressing weather........no???

I think you & your phone did an admirable job with this subject...
