Survived

Finally the severe weather and storm ended this morning. I opened the window and saw light instead of darkness. I was so happy; I went outside, followed the light and kissed Italian soil.

"Never a dull moment", as Andi would say! So, the first really sunny day and I started it with a bloody left knee and dark blue almost black right palm. My typical first words after some groaning with pain: "My camera!"

Next time I will do as usual and any other archaeologist and look down right in front of my feet instead looking up like an astronomer. Luckily nothing bad happened - just dirty jeans and hoodie.

It was a sunny and warm day. It’s end of October and the bees were collecting honey! Have a close look at the castle in Roccabianca and see for yourself.

There is a mosquito net in front of the window - therefore ...

A victim of the storm - the streets were full of twigs, branches and trees - of course without broken flower pots.

Glad the sun is finally out and you get to go traipsing around. Amazing that the bees survived the storm. Very cool photo.

It must be a good place, although the honeycombs are in plain sight. Never saw something like it before!

Glad you are not too damaged. The building is amazing... loggias don't really work anywhere other than Italy.

I'm very glad, Roland didn't photographed it, because I needed some time to count all my body parts - like a bug on its back.

These are all beautiful, but that hive is amazing! I've never seen one that looks like that before. Hope your knee is feeling better!

No, I just tried to look like a gigantic and helpless bug on its back. Thanks - I'm still impressed by the natural/wild bee hive!
