The Christmas present by my daughter was just perfect: Brass Against - Resistance Tour. Last Wednesday Victoria and I went to the concert. Brass Against performed right in the heart of Vienna at Porgy & Bess - Jazz & Music Club. We chose a place behind the mixing desk for light and sound. Perfect view to the stage, interesting sneak peek behind the scenes and the unique chance to place our beer glasses right in front of us. The exceptional music with a political edge was awesome! I immensely enjoyed this musical middle finger.
Of course I tried to take some pictures. Yes, I tried very hard, but it didn't work out as I wished for. Nevertheless some of the pictures are just good enough to be posted. Btw it’s not the halo of a saint in the picture before last, it’s a sousaphone!
Thursday I developed a severe muscle ache in my legs. I thought: "Jeez, you are getting old. Just one concert and you can't move anymore!" Friday and Saturday went by and it didn't get better – in the contrary. Sunday we celebrated with friends Roland's birthday. It was nice and funny, the food was good and we spent a interesting time together. Still, I was glad to get home afterwards. I didn't have some common sore muscles. No! Just some flu germs decided to begin their nasty work in my legs. Meanwhile they celebrate a painful and a hot party in my head. Anyhow I'm glad, that I'm not too old, fragile and weak for concerts, because there is this other Christmas present: METALLICA - Worldwired Tour in Vienna at Ernst-Happel-Stadion!
