Another colorful shot glass set crossed my path. No, I don't have an alcoholic problem. I have more or less a charming little hoarder with a little obsession for vivid colored drinking glasses of the 1940s to 1960s in my family. She is in luck, because I have this obsession to stroll through charity shops and flea markets as well as visiting garage sales. I found these really tiny shot glasses in a charity sale at Hilfswerk Wien. Fortunately, I don’t take always the same streets during Felix walkies so it was a happy coincident, that I found this sale rooms. Sadly, one glass of the set is missing and I can’t stop wondering about the color it might have been.
Yesterday, I tried to catch a sunbeam. I hunted this first spring ray for half an hour through the living room. It was almost like Peter Pan hunting his shadow. Hastily, I set up this little scene on the backside of an architect’s plan. Every time I picked the camera up, I had to move the still life a little bit. It wasn't exhausting but pesky. Now I'm envy everybody, who has a place to set up such scenes without moving them around once in a while.
When I scrolled through the pictures right now, I could see the ink of the plan shining through. Sh***, no chance to take better pictures. No light today and Victoria will get the shot glasses as a present.
At least I have the chance to play around with the pictures, enhance colors, contrast or do exactly the opposit ... Now I'm sure monochrome doesn't work at all and maybe the missing glas was pink!
