The Photographer, the Dog, Her Husband & His POV

by Sigrid Strohschneider-Laue April. 22, 2019 912 views

Right now I can explain, why my back hurts like hell. I carried a handbag, a photobag with some equipment and two cameras and had Felix on a leash. I should have known, it wouldn’t end well! But the pain was worth it. I had a lot of opportunities to take pictures! Sadly my husband had the same opportunities and right now I saw some pictures, which will become victims of censorship executed by me. Jeez, I should wear Harry’s famous invisibility cloak on a daily basis. Husband's "pov" will be deleted!

We spent a couple of days with my parents. Almost every flower in the garden is blooming – even the little almond tree. It almost died three years ago, caused by wrong information and scissors. My Mother has a lot of tulips. She always buys the “normal” colors, therefore we have for example a lot of red tulips. But sometimes I buy for her flowers in special colors or forms, this is the reason, why we have black, green and very small pink tulips. About dandelions we are fighting. I love the yellow blossoms and afterwards the white parachutes, sadly my Mother hates them. Another pov in my live, I have to deal with! I hid 300 g seeds of colorful flowers in her garden. Now I’m waiting for the moment, when they start to bloom. I'm sure I will be decapited for it! Afterwards the flowers will be decapitated too and end up in a vase. Where my head will end up, I'm sure I don't want to know it!

I LOVE dandelions and have the biggest problems, because my mother hates them.

I like #1 because if this odd angle and #2 because I didn't know he was photographing me. I was taking pictures of the blowball, which didn't survived for long. Felix sneezed ...

Thank you Roland for taking her pictures..otherwise we would never see her 😃

I have a few black tulips ( came with the house 20 + years ago) but for some reason this year they seem to be slow blooming. I hope it doesn't mean they are on death row. The yellow dandelions are rampant  in our yard but I am waiting for them to turn into parachutes as you call it. I am determined to set them on fire. No I am not a pyromaniac but I did see some pics of "flaming" parachutes and they were awesome, I want to replicate. Glad to see you are still among us, as always looking forward to your posts.

Burning, what an interesting idea! I think my Mother would be the first in the row to burn every single one. Sadly she is at war in the second a yellow blossom shows up.
I was really surprised about Roland's pictures, because most of the time they are not sooo nice - at least I have enough selfesteem to blame him as the photographer and not myself and my odd posing abilities.
