The Blue Fish

by Sigrid Strohschneider-Laue May. 16, 2019 985 views

Deep down in the 7th district, where the blue fish is hiding, is a tiny park. Just some trees and a couple of benches as well as a children’s playground. Not everybody is aware of the blue fish with the lantern, although it is a huge specimen. The blue fish was caught by an artist. Because the artist chained the fish with paint on a wall, it can’t move in the rhythm of the salty sea waves anymore. Since this time the blue fish depends of the wind in the park. The wind will make the giant of the waves visible and invisible, as soon as it will blow through the trees.

At night, I’m sure of it, its lantern will begin to glow in a moon blue light and shine through the leaves. There is this tiny hope of mine, that the light will lure Vienna's disgusting pigeons straight into the fish's mouth.

The weekly theme is Blue, please submit your photo(s) until Saturday 18th May!

Your header-fish is aleady a point of dissussion! It is the favorite of my daughter. If it would be possible, your header-fish would be already swimming in her fish tank ... smile
And yes, the artist is really a "god of murals".

It's easy (more or less) to photograph something, which is a good artwork in the first place - struggeling through  a foreign language to express my thoughts, is a different story to tell ... joy
Thanks for enjoying my text too. wink

Excellent - one of the best things about living in a city is the street art

My daughter photographed a lot murals in Valencia and I was surprised to see so many beautiful at once! Sadly a couple of murals in our district are for advertisment. So they will vanish as soon as the gallery has a new opening. Once there was a gigantic rat, it was such an incredible good graphic. I was rally sad, when it was removed/painted over.

Love the style he is in. Are there different styles of streetpainting or is it just streetpainting, and I am not talking about tagging, that is no art.
