Time to grab my Zilla making the best of every tiny moment of dry weather and a little bit of sunshine to test the new lens.
Some time ago, I posted on Photoblog a new Trafik sign, but I have to admit, that this old one looks a lot more impressive. On the other hand it's not just "antiquated" to use the double-headed eagle, which in this case doesn't date back before the fall of monarchy at the end of WWI. It's the double headed-eagle of Austrofascism (1934-1938). Think about that! Nevertheles, in the end we can be glad, it's not still decorated with the well known infamous swastika, which is completely banned (until someone will open the frontdoor and a Nazi-flag will be visibly hanging down from the wall).
Do you also think it looks a little bit "goth & graveyard"? Sticking to the heraldic symbole of Austrofascism is political as die-hard as the Austrian’s soil brown soul beneath their blue paint on the outside. Yeah, maybe I should use it as a symbol for yesterdays downfall of Austria's leading far-right Party (inaugural leader was Reinthaller, who already had a political career during Austrofascism and Nazi regime) and their ruling neo-Nazis - thanks to good investigative journalism!
