Next try ...

As soon as the common cranes were gone a grey heron occupied the field nearby. I started the next attempt to "catch a bird". Although it seemed a lot easier, because the heron didn’t try to reach the moon, back light was still a problem. Actually, there was just one major problem: I’m to slow to handle the camera in the correct way, when it comes to fast reactions. Maybe I shouldn’t try the M-mode during such moments or I should have more opportunities to get used to all the wheels, buttons and functions so I don't have to think about every step. Obviously the only thing I don't have besides money is enough spare time to do what I really want to do: playing with Felix and Zilla.

In an instant,
everything stilled,
except a heron
before of my eyes
whispering, go on,
take on the skies heart decoration

Actually I see a lot of grey herons ad also great egrets hunting for food on the fields. The Nationalpark Seewinkel is almost around the corner. Today they talked in the news about thousands of common cranes. They stopped for a day or two in this area. We were lucky to see them at all! I really would like to see - and photograph - a great bustard. They are really large enough - even someone blind as a bat like me should see them!
