Shores of Chennai — Ennore

Ennore is one of the main ports and industrial hubs of Chennai. It is known for fishing and thermal power stations. It is located on the Eastern coast of India.

It was quite humid and this person was patiently trying to catch fish — describes the mood of this area.

Great post. I still remember our first trip to Madras as it was then in the early sixties. We travelled to a beach outside the city and we were the only people there, it was the first time I remember seeing the sea, we lived in Poona. I remember the waves were huge and there were amazing shells in the sand which we collected and took home.
