The humidity dropped way off over night in the Raleigh area, and with it went the purple haze.. which was replaced by shades of red in today's morning sky. By the time the sun rose, in first image above, most of those reds were gone and the Carolina Blue had really taken off. The second shot picked up the subtle reds beneath the clouds, and the bottom view caught the peak of reds at the horizon during early twilight. Very nice sunrise event!
